Role Overview

Harbour Air is seeking an experienced, safety-focused, and service-oriented seaplane pilot to operate DHC-3T aircraft. The successful candidate will conduct scheduled and charter flights throughout the Southern British Columbia Coastal Regions. This position offers a guaranteed 78 hours bi-weekly with shift variances based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with OCC regarding weather, routing, and passenger loads.
  • Generate flight plans, including route, altitude, weather, and NOTAMS.
  • Manage aircraft weight and balance, and supervise loading and fueling procedures.
  • Perform pre-flight aircraft checks.
  • Communicate with ATC and OCC throughout all flight phases.
  • Coordinate with CSAs and DOC for aircraft parking, boarding, and deplaning.
  • Liaise with Maintenance and Records regarding logbooks, record keeping, and aircraft maintenance.
  • Monitor technical performance, positioning, weather, and air traffic during flight.
  • Communicate safety procedures to passengers.
  • Utilize Aerostudies for reference library access, memo reviews, and exams.
  • Maintain compliance with the Harbour Air Safety Management System, including safety occurrence reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Transport Canada Commercial Pilot’s License.
  • Current Class 1 Medical.
  • Minimum of 1000 hours PIC fixed-wing and 750 hours on floats.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with DHC-3T aircraft and coastal flying experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $47.34 to $66.21 per hour, commensurate with industry experience. Additional premiums are available for training pilots.
