DHC-3T Pilot - Full-Time Temporary
Harbour Air Group is actively recruiting an experienced and safety-oriented DHC-3T Seaplane Pilot. Work Hours: 78 hours bi-weekly guaranteed; shifts vary based on operational needs.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $47.34 to $66.21 per hour, commensurate with industry experience. Additional premiums are offered for pilots engaged in training duties.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Liaise with Operations Control Centre (OCC) to obtain critical information regarding weather, routing, and passenger manifests.
- Generate comprehensive flight plans, detailing routes, altitudes, weather forecasts, and NOTAMs.
- Accurately manage aircraft weight and balance for each flight.
- Oversee the safe loading and fueling of the aircraft.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections of aircraft.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and OCC throughout all flight phases.
- Coordinate with Customer Service Agents (CSAs) and Dispatch Officers (DOCs) for aircraft parking, passenger boarding, and deplaning.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Records departments regarding aircraft maintenance, record-keeping, and logbook entries.
- Perform continuous monitoring of aircraft technical performance, position, weather conditions, and air traffic during flight.
- Communicate essential safety procedures to passengers.
- Utilize Aerostudies for examinations, memo reviews, and reference library access.
- Uphold rigorous safety standards in strict compliance with Harbour Air’s Safety Management System, including accurate online safety occurrence reporting.
Qualifications and Assets
- Possession of a valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot’s License.
- Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on fixed-wing aircraft.
- Minimum of 750 hours of flight experience on float-equipped aircraft.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service orientation with a commitment to exceeding passenger expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior DHC-3T aircraft experience and familiarity with coastal flight operations.
