DHC-3T Pilot - Full Time Temporary
Job Overview
Harbour Air is seeking an experienced, safety and service-oriented seaplane pilot to fly DHC-3T aircraft based in Vancouver, BC. This role involves operating scheduled and charter flights within the Southern British Columbia Coastal Regions. The position offers a guaranteed 78 hours bi-weekly with varying shifts based on operational needs. This is a full-time temporary position from May 01, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with Operations Control Centre (OCC) for weather, routing, and passenger load information.
- Generate flight plans, including route, altitude, weather, and NOTAMs.
- Manage aircraft weight and balance for each flight.
- Supervise aircraft loading and fueling.
- Conduct pre-flight checks on aircraft.
- Communicate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and OCC throughout all flight phases.
- Coordinate with Customer Service Agents (CSAs) and Dispatch Officers (DOCs) for aircraft parking, boarding, and deplaning.
- Liaise with Maintenance and Records regarding aircraft maintenance, record keeping, and logbooks.
- Perform regular checks on the aircraft's technical performance, position, weather conditions, and air traffic during flight.
- Communicate safety procedures to passengers.
- Utilize Aerostudies for exams, memos, and the reference library.
- Maintain safety standards in compliance with Harbour Air’s Safety Management System, including online safety occurrence reporting.
Qualifications
- Transport Canada Commercial Pilot’s License.
- Current Class 1 Medical.
- 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) fixed-wing experience.
- 750 hours on floats experience.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a commitment to exceeding service expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- DHC-3T aircraft experience.
- Coastal experience.

- Hourly Rate: $47.34 to $66.21 per hour. Placement within the range will be based on industry experience.
