About the Role

The First Officer position offers significant responsibilities and a structured pathway for career advancement. Under the guidance of experienced Captains, the First Officer will receive active mentorship to refine their skills and progress within the airline. Training and Development

Upon successful completion of the selection process, the First Officer will be enrolled in the B737 Type Rating Course at TUI fly. This comprehensive program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a B737 aircraft safely and efficiently. Following the successful completion of the type rating, the First Officer will begin line training, consolidating their skills in a real-world operating environment. Notably, TUI fly has decided to fully cover the cost of the type rating course this year, offering a valuable opportunity for aspiring commercial airline pilots. Notice periods (start date) are open for discussion during the recruitment process.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A valid EASA (frozen) ATPL license.
  • A valid Medical Class 1 certificate.
  • A valid EU passport.
  • Fluency in English (ELP 5 minimum); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.

Selection Process

The TUI fly selection process includes the following steps:

  1. CV Screening: Initial assessment of applications.
  2. Online Technical Questionnaire: Evaluation of technical knowledge and aptitude.
  3. HR Interview & Simulator Assessment: In-person evaluation conducted at CAE Steenokkerzeel to assess both personality and technical flying skills.
  4. Online Psychological Testing: Psychometric assessment to determine compatibility with the airline's values and operational requirements.
