Minimum Requirements for Prospective Pilots:
Prospective candidates for this challenging and rewarding role must meet the following stringent criteria:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 2000 hours total flight time. This must include at least 2000 hours acquired on multi-engine aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 44 tons.
- Type Rating: A valid and current type rating for the aircraft operated by Air Belgium is required.
- Type-Specific Flight Time: A minimum of 1500 hours flight time on one of the following Boeing aircraft types: B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, or B787.
- Pilot License: Hold a valid European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Medical Certificate: Possess and maintain a current EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) level of 5.
- Regulatory Compliance: Candidates are required to strictly comply with all relevant local and national legislations, as well as health and safety standards applicable to airline operations.
- International Travel Certificates: Hold all necessary certificates, including health-related documentation, required for unrestricted entry into all international territories served by Air Belgium.
- Residency Requirement: Successful applicants must establish residency within a 150-kilometer radius of Air Belgium's Headquarter, located in Mont-Saint-Guibert.
