Aviation Flight Crew Member - Ensuring Safety and Excellence
Position Overview
The Flight Crew Member is instrumental in ensuring the safe and highly efficient execution of all flights. This role is paramount to upholding the airline's commitment to the highest standards of aviation safety and passenger service. The incumbent will act as a professional ambassador, representing the company's reputation through diligent, mindful, and expert conduct during all flight operations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conducting comprehensive participation in flight briefings to ensure complete understanding of all flight-specific details and operational plans.
- Contributing actively to achieving and maintaining exceptional on-time performance metrics.
- Proactively addressing and resolving any operational issues or concerns, in collaboration with the Captain, by implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Managing all safety and security-related matters during flight operations, strictly adhering to established procedures and in agreement with the Captain.
- Serving as a direct ambassador for the company, embodying and promoting its core values and professional ethos.
- Fostering an environment of efficient teamwork and providing support to colleagues as required to ensure seamless operations.
- Undertaking additional duties relevant to the company's strategic objectives and within the scope of their professional competencies.
Professional Conduct and Requirements
Self-Management and Compliance
- Strict adherence to all applicable local and national legislation, alongside prevailing health and safety standards.
- Upholding all Company policies, organizational values, and the auditor's code of ethics.
- Promptly reporting any identified hazards, non-compliance issues, or potential risks to the relevant hierarchy, concerning customers, employees, or the company.
- Demonstrating a positive, approachable, and cooperative demeanor to cultivate constructive working relationships with all stakeholders, while maintaining a critical and analytical approach to operational matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a valid EASA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Holding a valid type rating for relevant aircraft, accompanied by a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
- Accumulated a minimum of 1500 flight hours on B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, or B787 aircraft.
- Accumulated a minimum of 2000 flight hours on aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 44 tons.
- Demonstrated English Language Proficiency (ELP) at level 5 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work and reside in Belgium.
- Possession of all requisite certifications, including those pertaining to health, necessary for entry into all territories served by Air Belgium.
It is essential that the aforementioned ratings are currently endorsed or have been previously endorsed on the candidate's EASA license.
