Chief Pilot - Phenom 300

Located in thriving Bloomington, IL, Synergy Flight Center is currently seeking an experienced Embraer 300 Pilot to join our growing Part 135 flight department as our Chief Pilot. The Chief Pilot will effectively plan, organize, and manage the flight operations, and lead the flight crew team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Director of Operations.
  • Supervises flight crew personnel.
  • Assists the Director of Operations in formulating operations policies, coordinates those policies, and coordinates operations and training.
  • Prepares and maintains proficiency records, pilot files, flight schedules, duty time records, reports, and correspondence pertaining to flight operations activities.
  • Ensures that all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Knowledge of general aviation aircraft and their service requirements and the needs of crews and passengers
  • Train incoming pilots to properly perform their functions
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
  • Conduct flights in compliance with FAA Part 135 and 91 Regulations.
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with team and support staff to complete each mission collaboratively, safely, and professionally.
  • Maintain the knowledge and expertise to be a safe and proficient pilot.
  • Collaborate and plan aircraft movements with flight crews to endure all airspace, airport restrictions, noise abatement procedures, and NOTAMS are complied with.
  • Provide detailed pre/post flight briefings, complete all trip-related duties and paperwork to facilitate proper invoicing and record keeping.
  • Be a Synergy brand ambassador. Always maintain personal integrity and an excellent reputation.
  • Oversees and assists Charter Sales Specialist in aircraft handling/guest services, international services, or other services as needed.
  • Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products, services, and policies.
  • Other administrative responsibilities/duties as assigned by Director of Operations

Qualifications

* 5,000 - hours Total Time

* 1,500 – hours Turbine PIC

* 1,000 – hours type (Preferred)

* Recent Part 135 experience

* Must meet the experience requirements of FAR 119.71 (Required)

* Hold and maintain an FAA First Class Medical

* Hold an Airport Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating

* Hold a type rating in Phenom 300 (Required)

* No recorded accidents, incidents, or violations

* International experience a plus

* Management Experience (highly preferred)

Job Requirements

* Must hold a valid passport.

* Authorized to work in the United States

* Must have working knowledge of FAA regulations.

* Must possess excellent customer relationship skills.

* Must hold strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Must be able to take initiative without direction.

* Must be flexible to what could be an ever-changing environment.

* Applicants must reside within 2 hours or be willing to relocate to the Bloomington/Normal, IL area.
