About the Role:
As a First Officer at SWISS, the successful candidate serves as a key representative of the airline. Working collaboratively with the entire crew, the First Officer is instrumental in ensuring the safe and punctual arrival of guests at their destinations. This role involves bearing significant responsibility for the aircraft, its crew, all passengers, and onboard cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate SWISS aircraft safely and efficiently, upholding the highest standards for punctuality, economy, and guest quality.
- Execute comprehensive flight preparation and execution procedures in strict accordance with SWISS guidelines.
- Foster effective collaboration with the flight crew, ground personnel, and air traffic control.
- Provide essential support and deputize the Commander in all operational matters as required.
- Actively maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills through continuous, self-directed learning.
- Demonstrate responsible and sustainable conduct in all aspects of flight operations.
Requirements:
To be considered for the position of Direct Entry First Officer A330 at SWISS, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Completion of a recognized education (Matura/Abitur, Diploma HF, general university entrance qualification, or technical college entrance qualification).
- Possession of an ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory, or MPL License (EASA Part-FCL).
- Completion of Advanced UPRT Training in accordance with EASA.FCL.745.
- Hold a valid A330 Type Rating.
- Hold a Multi Engine IR Rating with PBN.
- A minimum of 800 hours of flight experience on Type.
- Possession of a valid Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Ability to provide seamlessly documented flight performance records (e.g., logbook extract, license).
- Must be a Swiss national or hold an EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Demonstrate very good proficiency in German (minimum B2 level proof is required if German is not a native or everyday language) and good proficiency in English (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Possess an impeccable reputation and clean record.
- Be willing to be vaccinated with vaccines approved in Switzerland, including COVID-19 and yellow fever.
- Meet height requirements between 160cm and 198cm.
- Be no older than 56 years of age, as per the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA).
