Responsibilities
As a Pilot, the individual represents SWISS and, together with the entire crew, ensures guests reach their destination safely and punctually. This role involves responsibility for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo on board. Further duties include:
- Operating SWISS aircraft safely and efficiently, with attention to punctuality, economy, and high-quality standards for guests.
- Flight preparation and execution according to SWISS specifications.
- Collaboration with crew, ground personnel, and air traffic control.
- Supporting and deputizing for the Commander in all aspects.
- Continuously and independently maintaining and deepening professional knowledge.
- Acting responsibly and sustainably.
Qualifications
To perform the duties as a Direct Entry First Officer A320 at SWISS, the following criteria must be met:
In addition to completed education with Matura/Abitur, HF Diploma, general university entrance qualification, or Fachhochschulreife, the following prerequisites apply:
- ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory, or MPL license (EASA Part-FCL).
- Advanced UPRT Training as per EASA.FCL.745.
- Valid A320 Type Rating.
- Multi Engine IR Rating with PBN.
- Minimum 800 hours of flight experience on the A320 family.
- Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Uninterrupted documented flight performance record (logbook, license, etc.).
- Swiss citizenship or EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Very good German language skills (minimum B2 level proof if German is not native/everyday language) and good English language skills (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Impeccable background check.
- Willingness to be vaccinated with vaccines approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, Yellow Fever, etc.).
- Height: 160-198cm.
- Maximum age: 56 years based on GAV (Collective Labour Agreement).
