Tasks
As a Pilot with SWISS, the role involves representing the airline while ensuring guests reach their destination safely and punctually. The Pilot is responsible for the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo onboard. Key tasks include:
- Operating SWISS aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining punctuality, economy, and a high standard of quality for guests.
- Executing flight preparation and conduct according to SWISS procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with crew, ground staff, and air traffic control.
- Supporting and deputizing for the Commander in all operational matters.
- Maintaining and enhancing professional knowledge through continuous personal development.
- Acting responsibly and sustainably in all operational duties.
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Direct Entry First Officer A320 with SWISS, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
In addition to completing a secondary education (Matura/Abitur), advanced technical college diploma (HF), or general/specialized university entrance qualification, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
- ATPL(A), CPL(A)/IR with ATPL(A) theory, or MPL license (EASA Part-FCL).
- Advanced UPRT Training in accordance with EASA.FCL.745.
- Valid A320 Type Rating.
- Multi Engine IR Rating with PBN.
- Minimum of 800 flight hours experience on the A320 family.
- Valid Medical Class 1 Certificate.
- Comprehensive documented flight performance records (e.g., logbook extracts, license).
- Swiss nationality or EU-27/EFTA passport.
- Very good knowledge of German (minimum B2 level proof required if German is not the native/everyday language) and good English proficiency (minimum ICAO Level 4).
- Impeccable background check.
- Willingness to be vaccinated with vaccines approved in Switzerland (including COVID-19, Yellow Fever, etc.).
- Height between 160cm and 198cm.
- Maximum age of 56 years based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement (GAV).
