Key Responsibilities
- Execute safe and proficient flight operations, demonstrating expert command under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Visual Flight Rules (VFR).
- Collaborate effectively as a vital member of a flight crew, ensuring optimal coordination and communication for all mission phases.
- Navigate and operate aircraft across a comprehensive range of airport environments, including demanding high-density commercial service and more nuanced low-density general aviation airports.
- Conduct scheduled flights predominantly during weekdays, with the flexibility to accommodate occasional weekend assignments based on operational demands.
- Undertake missions that may require overnight stays and travel to out-of-state locations, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to mission completion.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must meet the following stringent requirements to be considered for this challenging and rewarding position:
- Educational Foundation: Possess a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
- Flight Time: A verifiable minimum of 1500 hours of total flight time, with significant experience accumulated in a closely related aircraft type and/or mission profile.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of directly related professional aviation experience is required. An equivalent combination of specialized training and directly relevant experience may be considered.
- FAA Certifications:
- Hold a current and valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, with appropriate ratings for airplanes and/or rotorcraft.
- Possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate, maintaining all required medical standards.
- Additional ratings, such as Multi-Engine (Land) and Instrument Ratings, may be required and assigned based on specific operational needs and aircraft types.
Work Environment
This role typically involves dynamic flight operations primarily occurring on weekdays, with an expectation for occasional weekend duties to support mission requirements. The Aviation Professional will operate in a variety of challenging and stimulating aviation settings, with missions frequently encompassing both local and long-distance travel, including overnight stays and assignments to out-of-state locations.
