Spirit Airlines First Officer Opportunity
Spirit Airlines is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals to join its expanding pilot team. This role offers a unique opportunity for aspiring aviators to contribute to the success of a dynamic and growing airline.
Minimum Requirements:

- Type Rating: Not required (Training Provided)
- License: Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Licensing Authority: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Additional Requirements:
- A recommendation from a partner school faculty member or chief instructor is required.
- Candidates must possess a valid Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Radio Telephone Operator Permit.
- A valid passport with at least nine (9) months of validity is necessary for travel to all cities and countries served by Spirit Airlines, both currently and in the future.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful candidates must have completed at least the sophomore year of an accredited aviation degree program.
- The ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Transport Pilot (CTP) license, along with Jet Transition courses, is required.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete all program requirements and meet the FAA requirements for an Unrestricted ATP or Restricted ATP (if in the university program).
- All cadets must successfully complete a comprehensive program review.
- A mandatory ATP/CTP course and a Spirit-specific Airbus A320 Jet Transition course are required before being assigned a new hire class date.
- Upon receiving a new hire class date, candidates will undergo pre-employment testing and background checks prior to being assigned a Spirit Airlines new hire pilot class date.
