About the Role
Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT), one of Europe's largest Approved Training Organisations (ATO), trains over 20,000 pilots annually using state-of-the-art full-flight simulators. To expand its existing instructor team, LAT is actively recruiting experienced Type Rating Instructors/Examiners (m/f/d) for the following aircraft types:
- A320
- A220 / BD500
- EMB E1/E2
- A330/A350
- Q400
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting theoretical and practical training sessions in accordance with established training standards.
- Preparing and delivering training to meet diverse client requirements.
- Developing and continuously improving training materials.
Qualifications and Experience
In addition to extensive experience as an instructor within flight operations or training organizations, candidates should possess the following:
- EASA ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) Type Rating with a valid TRI (Type Rating Instructor) endorsement on at least one of the aforementioned aircraft types, or valid examiner accreditation according to [relevant regulation reference].
- For the A330/A350 type rating: Valid MPA Type Rating with a valid TRI endorsement on at least one additional Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, or Embraer aircraft type. For examiners, valid accreditation for examiners according to [relevant regulation reference].
- Minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
- German language proficiency: Native speaker or Level C1 (Professional User) or ICAO Level 5 "Extended".
- Minimum 500 hours of instructional experience in Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD) or aircraft as an SFI (Synthetic Flight Instructor) / TRI.
- Demonstrable experience in airline training environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- High social and didactic competence, strong teamwork skills, and a customer-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel.
- Readiness to undergo qualification for an additional aircraft type.
