The Role: Type Rating Instructor / Examiner (TRI/TRE)
LAT OPS DE, designated as one of Europe’s largest Approved Training Organizations (ATOs), conducts over 20,000 hours of simulator training annually for pilots worldwide. To facilitate expansion and reinforce the existing expert team, the organization is seeking highly qualified Type Rating Instructors and Examiners (TRI/TRE) for a direct-entry, fixed-term appointment.

Required Aircraft Type Endorsements
The organization seeks TRI/TRE expertise on the following commercial aircraft types:
- Airbus A320 Family
- Airbus A220 / BD500
- Airbus A330 / A350 (Note: Training for these types is typically conducted in Frankfurt, Germany)
- De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of professional aviation instruction:
- Conducting comprehensive theoretical and practical training sessions in compliance with established EASA and organizational standards.
- Systematically preparing and customizing training modules to effectively satisfy client operational requirements.
- Contributing to the development, creation, and continuous improvement of professional training documentation and materials.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
In addition to possessing long-standing instructional expertise within flight operations or training organizations, applicants must satisfy the following essential criteria:
- Hold a current EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- Possess a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Hold a valid Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) Type Rating, including a valid Type Rating Instructor (TRI) endorsement on a minimum of one of the listed aircraft types, or possess a current and valid Examiner authorization.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 500 hours of instructional experience gained in a Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) or in an aircraft as an SFI/TRI.
- Possess verifiable and substantial experience within the airline training sector.
- Demonstrate native proficiency in German (mother tongue), or possess German language skills equivalent to CEFR Level C1 (Proficient User), or ICAO Level 5 “Extended.”
- Achieve a minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
- Exhibit excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Possess strong social and didactic competencies, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and client-oriented capabilities.
- A willingness to travel for training assignments is mandatory.
- A readiness to qualify for instruction on an additional aircraft type, as required by organizational needs.
