Synthetic Flight Instructor / Examiner (m/f/d)

Job Overview

Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) OPS DE, one of Europe's largest Approved Training Organizations (ATOs), is seeking experienced Synthetic Flight Instructors and Examiners (m/f/d) to join its esteemed instructor team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality pilot training on advanced full-flight simulators, catering to a global clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting theoretical and practical training sessions in accordance with established training standards.
  • Preparing and delivering training to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Developing and continuously improving training materials.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess extensive experience as an instructor within flight operations or training organizations. Essential qualifications include:

  • EASA ATPL with a valid Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) type rating, or proof of a previously held but expired MPA type rating.
  • A valid Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) certificate for at least one additional Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, or Embraer aircraft type. For Examiner roles, a valid Examiner accreditation is required.
  • Medical fitness for flight operations.
  • Minimum ICAO English Level 4 proficiency.
  • German language skills: Native speaker, C1 level (expert knowledge), or ICAO Level 5 "Extended".
  • Minimum of 500 hours of instructional experience in Full Flight Simulators (FSTD) or aircraft as an SFI/TRI.
  • Demonstrated experience in airline training environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent social and didactic skills, strong team player, and customer-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Readiness to undergo qualification for additional aircraft types.

Aircraft Types

Instructors will primarily be trained and examine on the following aircraft types:

  • A320
  • A220 / BD500
  • EMB E1/E2
  • A330 / A350
  • Q400
