Job Summary: First Officer
The First Officer is integral to delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring the safe and punctual execution of all flight operations. This role adheres strictly to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Responsible for aircraft operation during their assigned duty period, unless otherwise relieved by Company authority, which encompasses weekend, holiday, and night operations.
- Conducting thorough pre- and post-flight inspections to confirm the airworthy condition of assigned aircraft.
- Familiarizing themselves with current and forecast weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations prior to each flight.
- Ensuring proper flight planning and fueling for safe flight execution.
- Assisting with and ensuring the correct handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminal points, maintaining awareness for on-time departures.
- Promptly informing crew and passengers of turbulence, adverse weather, or any other operational factors impacting the flight.
- Reviewing the flight load manifest and verifying passenger counts before each departure.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- 1,500 hours total flight time (2,500 hours preferred).
- 750 hours multi-engine fixed-wing experience.
- 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 500 hours in jet/turboprop aircraft.
- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
- Valid U.S. Passport with machine-readable print, or valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States, enabling travel in and out of the U.S.
- Ability to travel to and from all cities and countries served by Frontier Airlines.
- Willingness to relocate.
- Availability and willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips, including "red-eye" flights.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining a well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Experience with advanced aircraft systems, such as Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS), is preferred.
- Compliance with the company's COVID-19 policies, including mandatory full vaccination by the first day of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
