Mandatory Qualification Criteria
Candidates seeking consideration for this elite Captain position must demonstrate an exceptional career history and strictly adhere to the following mandated qualification criteria:
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5,500 hours of total cumulative flying time is required.
- A minimum of 2,500 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours must be on multi-crew, glass cockpit jet aircraft. (Note: Glass Cockpit is defined as an aircraft equipped with a Flight Management System (FMS) coupled to an Automatic Flight Director System (APFDS)).
- A minimum of 1,500 PIC hours must have been specifically accumulated on aircraft within the A320 Family.
- The applicant must have flown any Airbus Fly-by-Wire (FBW) aircraft within the last 12 months.
Licensing and Medical Standards
- Possession of an unrestricted and current ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is essential.
- Must hold an unrestricted and current Class 1 medical certificate.
- Current qualification on the A320 type is mandatory. The A320 type rating must remain valid for a minimum of two months upon the anticipated date of joining.
- English Language Fluency (written and verbal) must meet or exceed ICAO Level 4.
General Requirements
- The maximum age limit for joining is 59 years on the date of commencement.
- Holding a current Type Rating Examiner (TRE) or Type Rating Instructor (TRI) qualification is highly advantageous.
Note on Flight Time Accumulation: If flight hours include segments utilizing inflight relief, only 75% of those total hours will be officially recognized toward meeting the stated minimum experience requirements.
