Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated, full-time Flight Attendant to join an operation based at KSJC. This role is ideal for a flexible team player committed to delivering superior, round-the-clock service. The successful candidate will ensure the safety and comfort of passengers through exceptional personal service, including pre-flight preparation, in-flight support, and post-flight maintenance. Culinary expertise and a passion for food service are required.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level service to clients, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
  • Direct and assist passengers during emergency procedures.
  • Administer basic first aid, including CPR, AED, and emergency care.
  • Ensure cabin compliance with federal regulations prior to take-off and landing.
  • Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling situations.
  • Conduct preflight briefings and ensure all necessary supplies—including food, beverages, and emergency equipment—are sufficiently stocked.
  • Shop for specialized passenger requests.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck.
  • Complete comprehensive preflight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
  • Operate cabin management, audio, and video systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and valid First Aid Training Certification.
  • Flight attendant-specific training (e.g., FlightSafety, FACTs) is preferred; annual recurrent training is required.
  • Proven culinary skills and specific culinary training.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to operate cabin management systems.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a constantly changing schedule and work late-night flights.
  • Available to fly on short notice (2–3 hour response time for Standby).
  • Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide and capacity to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
  • College degree and foreign language fluency preferred.
  • Experience working with small children preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better.
  • Hearing/Speaking: Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone during flight operations.
  • Physical Capacity: Capable of standing for up to 14 hours; able to maneuver in tight aircraft confinements.
  • Manual Dexterity and Strength: Must be able to operate cabin features (berthing seats, divans), push/pull main cabin doors weighing up to 130 pounds, and repeatedly lift supplies weighing 25–30 pounds from floor to waist height.

Compensation and Benefits

Solairus crewmembers are compensated between $50,000 and $500,000, contingent upon geographic area, experience, equipment type, job duties, and training.
