Job Summary

PayPal is seeking a highly skilled Director, Pilot to ensure the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This role is responsible for the secure transportation of executives and clients, requiring meticulous flight planning, strict adherence to aviation regulations, and a commitment to the highest standards of safety and comfort. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure during emergency situations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate aircraft safely and efficiently in full compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive flight plans, accounting for weather conditions, fuel requirements, and operational obstacles.
  • Perform rigorous pre-flight inspections of all aircraft systems, including engines, landing gear, and navigation equipment.
  • Coordinate effectively with air traffic control during all phases of flight.
  • Utilize advanced problem-solving skills and knowledge of emergency procedures to manage in-flight contingencies.
  • Prioritize passenger safety and comfort by proactively addressing needs and providing clear communication.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Flight Experience: Minimum of 5,000 hours of total flying time, including at least 2,000 hours of turbine/multi-engine time.
  • Certifications: Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
  • Medical: Current First-Class Medical Certificate issued by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gulfstream G650 type rating.

Compensation and Travel

Travel: 90%

Compensation Range: $300,000.00 - $325,000.00 Annually. Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation.
