Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Captain is entrusted with the absolute safety and prudent operation of the Gulfstream G650ER aircraft. Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) with ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G650ER.
• Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict accordance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation, the applicable Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), and all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Meticulously reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to flight.
• Conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections as mandated by the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Executing a complete evaluation of all operational factors, including weather conditions, facility status along the intended route, and the suitability of primary and alternate airports.
• Guaranteeing the safety and well-being of all passengers, the aircraft, and the entire flight crew.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all required trip documentation and paperwork according to current procedural standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet or exceed the following minimum flight experience thresholds:

• Total Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land PIC Time: 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Certifications and Requirements

• Must possess a current Type Rating on the Gulfstream G650ER or a comparable large cabin jet.
• A valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
• The ability to operate and maintain readiness on an on-call basis is essential.
• Successful completion of ICAO International Procedures training is required annually.
• Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate their primary residence within a two-hour drive of the Napa County Airport (KAPC).

Compensation Information

Solairus Aviation determines competitive salary ranges based on comprehensive market analysis. Compensation for crewmembers is reflective of geographic location, specific experience, aircraft type, complexity of job duties, required training, and assigned account details. The general compensation range for Solairus crewmembers is between $50,000 and $500,000.
