Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Gulfstream G550 Captain to join their operation based at the KSJC airport in San Jose, California. Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Gulfstream G550 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft. Key responsibilities include conducting flights in accordance with, but not limited to, the following:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft.
• Conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with relevant regulations and company procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to flight.
  • Conducting a thorough pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Completing a comprehensive check of weather conditions and available facilities along the planned route, including alternate airports.
  • Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintaining the highest level of safety for all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates should meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

• Total Time: 3000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
• MEL PIC: 500 hours
• Time in Turbojet Aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

In addition to flight hour requirements, the Captain candidate must possess:

• A type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
• A valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Availability to work on an on-call basis.
• The ability to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
• A primary residence within a 5-hour drive from KSJC, or willingness to relocate.

Solairus Aviation collects salary range information from multiple industry sources based on market conditions. Compensation for Solairus crewmembers ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 annually, determined by factors including geographic area, experience level, aircraft type/equipment, specific job duties, required training, and the assigned account.
