Solairus Aviation is actively recruiting a dedicated Full-Time Flight Attendant to join an operation based at KLVK. The ideal candidate will be a highly adaptable team player, prepared to undertake additional responsibilities to deliver unparalleled, round-the-clock service to passengers. A demonstrable passion for culinary arts and practical culinary experience are essential requirements, with advanced culinary training being a significant advantage. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional personal services to ensure the utmost safety and comfort of aircraft passengers throughout their journey. Key responsibilities include warmly welcoming passengers, thoroughly explaining safety equipment usage, and expertly serving food and beverages.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver an elevated level of service to clients, prioritizing the safety and comfort of all passengers during flights.
- Provide clear direction and assistance to passengers during emergency situations.
- Administer essential first aid, including CPR, AED, and basic first aid, to passengers in need. Ensure cabin security in strict adherence to federal regulations prior to takeoff and landing. Offer reassurance to passengers during periods of turbulence or other unsettling circumstances.
- Conduct comprehensive preflight briefings.
- Verify that all food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessary supplies are on board and adequate for the duration of the trip and the number of passengers.
- Procure items specifically requested by passengers for their flight.
- Conduct thorough inspections, cleaning, and restocking of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment. Maintain the aircraft in a consistently flight-ready, clean, and fully stocked condition.
- Perform periodic cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and maintain cleanliness standards. Complete all required preflight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation accurately.
- Operate audio and video systems effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possesses a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations. Holds a valid First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Completion of flight attendant-specific training from recognized institutions such as FlightSafety, FACTS, or similar is preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory.
- Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on exceptional alternative qualifications, but will be required to complete initial flight attendant training prior to flight assignment.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully completed training from FlightSafety, FACTS, or similar programs within the preceding 12 months.
- Demonstrates strong technological proficiency.
- Exhibits exceptional flexibility and patience.
- Possesses well-developed culinary skills and relevant culinary-specific training.
- Capable of managing a dynamic and frequently changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Readily available to fly on short notice, responding within 2-3 hours when on standby status.
- Holds unrestricted ability to travel globally, considering personal health and visa status.
- Able to undertake deployments for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Proficient in the operation of all features of the Cabin Management Systems.
- Skilled in the operation of all galley equipment.
- Competent in operating all cabin features, including the adjustment of berthing seats and the reconfiguration of the divan into a bed.
- Possesses outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a preferred asset.
- Experience with young children is preferred.
Specific Qualifications and Certifications
- Vision: Must have vision correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should not be worse than 20/20. Ability to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and operate computer, smartphone, and/or iPad devices is essential.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must possess clear speech. Adequate hearing is required to communicate effectively via phone and in person with clients, colleagues, and pilots, even during flight operations.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand unassisted. The ability to stand for extended periods of up to 14 hours with limited sitting opportunities is necessary. Must be able to work long hours in diverse climate conditions.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be capable of kneeling in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and luggage. Must be able to maneuver effectively within the confined spaces of the aircraft.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to operate the main cabin door, which requires pushing open and pulling closed and weighs up to 130 pounds. Ability to write, type, use a computer and phone, and prepare/cook and serve food and beverages is required. Must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height.
