SpaceX | Flight Attendant

Position Overview

SpaceX is seeking an experienced and motivated in-house Supervisor for its Flight Attendant Aviation team. This critical role offers the opportunity to fly both domestically and internationally from local airports, contributing to the operational success and safety of SpaceX's aviation endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment and comprehensive training of flight attendants.
• Develop and manage the budget for catering services and aircraft supplies.
• Perform regular flight assignments as an operational flight attendant and/or as a flight attendant instructor, as required by operational needs.
• Maintain all necessary training qualifications for flight operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the safety management system requirements, including annual emergency procedures training for each assigned aircraft.
• Provide essential emergency assistance to passengers and crew during flight operations.
• Establish, maintain, and revise the flight attendant manual to ensure current best practices and safety protocols.
• Cultivate and manage vendor relationships for training and other aviation-related services.

Basic Qualifications

• Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalency certificate.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a flight attendant.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated previous experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Proven capacity to effectively de-escalate volatile situations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Experience within a corporate aviation environment is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Evacuation crew member training and certification.
• Food safety and handling certification.
• Willingness and ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Possession of a current passport.
• Availability to work all shifts, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to successfully pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg facilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: Supervisor, FA Aviation: $115,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year.

The actual salary and level will be determined on a case-by-case basis, considering factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
