Job Overview

Breeze Airways is seeking "Seriously Nice" Part-Time Flight Attendants for its Raleigh-Durham (RDU) Crew Base. As a highly visible member of the team, Flight Attendants are entrusted with ensuring the safety and comfort of all guests and fellow team members. This role requires welcoming and accommodating guests, effectively managing high-stress situations, collaborating with colleagues, exercising sound judgment, and embodying a genuinely nice demeanor. Flight Attendants will represent the company by embracing Breeze's Five Core Values: Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional guest experience, including warm welcomes, assistance with seating and stowage, and responsive service.
  • Maintain a positive and kind environment, ensuring guests feel valued and appreciated through empathy and humanity.
  • Uphold a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
  • Remain calm and composed under pressure, adeptly mitigating high-stress situations.
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate respectfully, and foster teamwork among colleagues.
  • Monitor the cabin regularly to ensure approachability and accommodate guest needs.
  • Adapt to schedule changes due to operational, weather, or unforeseen delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations, company procedures, and training requirements.
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility through punctuality, timeliness, and proactivity.
  • Maintain professional appearance and etiquette both on and off duty.
  • Be willing to assist in other departments as needed.
  • Proficiently utilize, implement, and explain Breeze’s Inflight technology.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages with the highest hygiene standards.
  • Maintain cabin cleanliness and galley organization, comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Provide clear instructions, including emergency and evacuation procedures, to guests.
  • Administer first-aid and medical care as required during emergencies.
  • Effectively manage personal and emotional responses, acting appropriately under stress.
  • Conduct security screenings as needed.
  • Complete Autism Awareness Training.
  • Adhere to all FAA and DOT travel regulations.
  • Achieve performance measures and uphold established standards in alignment with Breeze Aviation Group Values.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.
  • Physical ability to reach and remove emergency equipment from overhead bins without assistance.
  • Adequate head clearance within the aircraft cabin.
  • Ability to sit, buckle, and secure oneself in the E190 and A220 Flight Attendant jumpseat with the provided seatbelt harness and lap belt.
  • Neat, well-groomed appearance, capable of making a positive impression.
  • Strong service-oriented mindset.
  • Adherence to the highest hygiene standards as outlined by the CDC.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language; ability to communicate safety instructions to non-English speakers may be required.
  • Ability to pass a vision and hearing test.
  • Ability to successfully complete security screening training.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
  • Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Legal right to travel without restriction to/from the United States.
  • Current Passport with a minimum of six (6) months remaining prior to expiration at the time of application.
  • Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs, if applicable.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to report for duty at the assigned base for assigned trips.
  • Willingness to work "Reserve Assignment" in the assigned base.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire for success.
  • Nose piercings are acceptable and must adhere to company guidelines: single 2mm or smaller stud, silver, gold, or gemstone; no hoops. No other facial piercings are permitted.
  • No teeth embellishments while in uniform.
  • Maximum of two (2) earrings per ear allowed while in uniform.
  • Visible tattoos are acceptable if they comply with company guidelines, which will be provided during the selection process.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties, including standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to read announcements clearly, deliver emergency commands, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Capability to transform challenges into solutions or alternatives.
  • Ability to think independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Capacity to work independently without direct supervision as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting luggage, operating emergency exits, and standard door procedures, with the ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to close overhead storage compartments with a maximum push/pull force of approximately fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to assist disabled passengers into and out of the Inflight wheelchair and transport them as needed.
  • Ability to push/pull beverage and food carts on wheels, including inclines, with a maximum force of approximately sixty (60) pounds.
  • Proficiency in performing all safety-related procedures.
  • Demonstrated embodiment of Breeze's safety culture, values, mission, and a "Seriously Nice" attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in handling difficult situations, problem-solving, complaint resolution, and conflict de-escalation.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams at all organizational levels.

Job Details

  • Monthly Guarantee: 37.5 flying hours per month.
  • Residency Requirement: Must live within a two-hour driving distance of Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
  • Training: Successful completion of initial Flight Attendant training is required.

Competitive hourly pay rates are offered, with increases based on years of service:
