Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Challenger 604 Captain is entrusted with the following key responsibilities:

• Safely operates the Challenger 604 aircraft in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Conducts comprehensive pre-flight preparations, including a thorough review of aircraft maintenance status, prevailing weather conditions, route facilities, and designated alternate airports.
• Performs meticulous pre-flight inspections as per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Ensures the highest standards of safety for all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout all phases of flight operations.
• Accurately completes and processes all required trip documentation and paperwork in accordance with current company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following flight experience requirements:

• Minimum 3,000 hours Total Flight Time.
• Minimum 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
• Minimum 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL).
• Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC).
• Minimum 500 hours Turbo Jet time.
• Minimum 250 hours Instrument Flight Time.

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Possesses a current Challenger 604 Type Rating or a comparable aircraft type rating.
• Holds a valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrates availability and flexibility to work on an on-call basis.
• Committed to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
• Must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour driving radius of KBED (Bedford, MA) or be willing to relocate.

Additional Information

The annual salary range for Solairus Aviation crewmembers is highly competitive, ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. Compensation is determined by a comprehensive evaluation of market conditions, geographic location, individual experience, specific aircraft type/equipment, job responsibilities, required training, and the assigned account.
