Global 6500 Captain - Full-Time (Opa Locka, FL - KOPF)

Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Full-Time Global 6500 Captain to join an established operation based at the KOPF airport in Opa Locka, Florida. Essential Responsibilities

The Global 6500 Captain is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Global 6500 aircraft. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner through meticulous attention to detail:

  • Ensuring the safe operation of the Global 6500 aircraft.
  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of the aircraft's maintenance status.
  • Performing thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Completing detailed checks of weather conditions and facilities along the planned route, including alternate airports.
  • Operating flights in strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Prioritizing and ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:

  • Total Time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC): 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Requirements and Certifications

  • Possession of a type rating on the Global 6500 aircraft or a comparable type rating is required.
  • A current First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
  • The ability to work on an on-call basis is essential.
  • Successful completion of ICAO International procedures training annually is required.
  • Candidates must have a primary residence within a two-hour drive from KOPF or be willing to relocate.

Compensation for Solairus crew members typically ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, influenced by factors such as geographic area, experience level, specific aircraft type, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
