Position Summary:

Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a highly qualified and experienced Full-Time Falcon 2000LXS Captain to be based at the KJVY airport in Sellersburg, Indiana. This role requires a standout colleague who consistently pursues excellence in every facet of their performance. The Captain will join a diligent team committed to safely and expertly fulfilling client travel requirements while upholding Solairus’ distinct culture founded on safety, service, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Falcon 2000LXS Captain is ensuring the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft. This encompasses conducting flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and other governing standards. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Taking responsibility for the safe operation of the Falcon 2000LXS aircraft.
  • Conducting flights safely and prudently, including reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status.
  • Performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting a comprehensive check of weather conditions, facilities along the planned route, and available alternate airports.
  • Ensuring the flight is conducted in adherence to the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and crew members.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prospective candidates must meet the following flight hour requirements:

  • Total Time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) PIC: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument: 250 hours

Specific Requirements:

In addition to meeting the minimum flight hour requirements, candidates must possess:

  • A type rating on the Falcon 2000LXS or a comparable aircraft.
  • A current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • The ability to work effectively on an on-call basis.
  • The capability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
  • A primary residence within a two-hour driving radius of KJVY airport, or a demonstrated willingness to relocate to the area.

Salary Information:

Solairus Aviation determines compensation based on various factors including market conditions, geographic location, experience level, specific aircraft type, job duties, training, and the assigned account. The salary range for Solairus crew members is provided as $50,000 to $500,000.
