Position Summary

The Senior Aircraft Captain is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional operation of Brunswick's corporate aircraft. This integral role encompasses comprehensive pre-flight planning, meticulous in-flight management, and thorough post-flight duties. A steadfast commitment to safety, unwavering regulatory compliance, and the delivery of exceptional customer service to corporate executives and esteemed clients are core to this position. The Senior Captain also plays a vital role in mentoring junior pilots and actively contributes to the ongoing enhancement of flight operations.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations

  • Operate Company aircraft in strict adherence to all applicable aviation regulations, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), both domestically and internationally.
  • Ensure compliance with schedules and all directives governing aircraft operations.
  • Conduct exhaustive pre-flight planning, including precise route planning, in-depth weather analysis, and accurate fuel requirement calculations.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all required documentation, such as flight plans, passenger manifests, and weight and balance computations.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with air traffic control and ground personnel throughout all flight phases.
  • Respond effectively and decisively to in-flight emergencies, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort.
  • Utilize checklists diligently to ensure all procedures are followed.

Safety and Compliance

  • Uphold compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and relevant international aviation regulations.
  • Execute thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm aircraft airworthiness.
  • Promptly report and document any safety concerns or identified maintenance issues.
  • Actively participate in regular safety training, simulator sessions, and mandatory proficiency checks.

Customer Service

  • Deliver a premier travel experience, with an unwavering focus on passenger comfort, discretion, and strict confidentiality.
  • Engage with corporate executives and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure the aircraft is impeccably maintained, clean, and fully provisioned for the safety and comfort of all passengers.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain precise flight logs, records, and comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with dispatchers, maintenance crews, and ground support teams to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with evolving company policies, industry trends, and advancements in aviation technology.

Qualifications and Experience

Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Hold a current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Possess a type rating for Falcon aircraft; preference for Falcon 2000EASy, 6X, or 7X/8X models.
  • Maintain a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5,000 total flight hours, with at least 2,000 hours served as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
  • Accumulate a minimum of 1,000 flight hours on Falcon aircraft or comparable jet platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in international flight operations and familiarity with oceanic procedures is desirable.

Travel Requirements

This role necessitates frequent travel, including overnights and extended trips, spanning both domestic and international destinations. The ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual base pay range for this position is $129,400 - $219,000. The actual base salary offered will be determined by various factors, including job-related knowledge and skills, relevant experience, business exigencies, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Brunswick is committed to offering competitive compensation, and typically does not hire at or near the top of the stated salary range, with compensation decisions reflecting candidate qualifications and business context.
