Citation X+ Captain

Silver Air is seeking an experienced Captain to join its operation based seasonally in Scottsdale, Arizona (SDL) and Driggs, Idaho (DIJ). This role offers a unique opportunity to operate a highly modernized Citation X+ aircraft while enjoying a seasonal lifestyle, spending winters in the Scottsdale area (November-May) and summers in Driggs (June-October).

The aircraft is a recently modernized Citation X+ featuring new paint, a redesigned interior, an upgraded galley, and full global in-flight Starlink connectivity. As one of the most equipped Citation X+ aircraft flying today, it is designed for both charter performance and luxury presentation.

The Citation X+ Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft and ensuring all flights are conducted in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player committed to excellence in all aspects of performance, seeking to join a hardworking team focused on meeting client travel needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the aircraft's maintenance status to ensure continuous airworthiness.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Complete thorough checks of weather, facilities, planned route, and alternate airports.
  • Ensure all flights adhere to Silver Air policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Maintain the highest level of safety for all passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
  • Accurately complete all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 3000 hours
  • Multi-Engine Time: 3000 hours
  • Multi-Engine PIC Time: 2000 hours
  • Total Turbine Time: 1750 hours (Preferred)
  • Aircraft Type Time: 200 hours
  • Aircraft Type PIC Time: 100 hours
  • Type Rating: CE-750 or comparable aircraft.
  • Medical Certificate: Valid First Class Medical Certificate (Required).
  • Experience: Previous Part 135 experience (Preferred, but not required).
  • Compliance: Compliant with ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0 regarding aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
  • Authorization: Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted commercial pilot travel to/from Canada.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a superior level of professionalism with employees and clients at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized with the ability to thrive in changing environments and adapt to frequently changing priorities.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills, capable of working on an on-call basis and performing well under pressure while multi-tasking. Flexibility for a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required in this 24/7 operation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills and the ability to contribute effectively as a team member.
