Responsibilities
- Perform all required duties and responsibilities associated with operating an MD-87 aircraft as Pilot in Command.
- Adhere to all Aero Air policies and standards of conduct.
- Maintain reliable, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MD-87 Pilot in Command
- Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating (Multiengine Land).
- Current First or Second-Class medical certificate.
- Minimum 4,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 2,000 hours of Pilot in Command experience (airplane).
- Minimum 200 hours of multiengine PIC experience.
- Minimum 100 hours of multiengine PIC experience in aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs.
- Minimum 200 hours of low-level (typical terrain) flight experience.
- Minimum 100 hours of PIC experience in the preceding 12 months.
- Heavy jet type rating.
- Previous or current USFS AKP or AKI rating.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Initial Attack rating.
- DC-9 type rating.
MD-87 Second in Command
- Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating (Multiengine Land).
- Current First or Second-Class medical certificate.
- Minimum 1,000 hours of total flight time.
- Minimum 500 hours of Pilot in Command experience (airplane).
- Minimum 200 hours of multiengine experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Jet type rating.
- Previous USFS air tanker experience.
- Low-level flight experience.
General Requirements for both positions
- High School Diploma/GED and required certifications listed above.
- Valid U.S./state issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to travel.
- Successful completion and favorable results of pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
