Flight Attendant
Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and highly skilled full-time Flight Attendant to join its team at KMRY. This individual will be a flexible team player, committed to providing exceptional, round-the-clock service to passengers. A passion for food and culinary expertise are essential, with advanced culinary training being strongly preferred. The Flight Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout their flight experience. This includes greeting passengers, explaining safety procedures, and providing attentive service in the form of food and beverage offerings.
Key responsibilities encompass delivering superior service to clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort, and effectively managing emergency situations. The Flight Attendant will administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, secure the cabin in compliance with regulations, and offer reassurance to passengers during turbulence or other disruptions. Additional duties include conducting preflight briefings; ensuring adequate supplies are on board; shopping for special requests; and meticulously maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck. The position also entails operating audio/video systems and managing all necessary documentation.
Qualified candidates will possess a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and hold a current First Aid Training Certification. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant is required, and formal training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a comparable program is strongly preferred, with annual recurrent training mandatory. Technological proficiency is a must. While candidates without formal training may be considered based on other qualifications, they must complete initial training before flight assignment. Preference will be given to those with recent FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, patience, and advanced culinary skills. They should be adept at managing a dynamic schedule, including late-night flights, and be available for short-notice standby assignments. Unrestricted worldwide travel capabilities, including health and visa considerations, are essential, with the ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
The Flight Attendant must be proficient in operating all aspects of Cabin Management Systems, galley equipment, and cabin features. Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities, as well as a high level of attention to detail, are essential. A college degree is preferred, as is fluency in one or more foreign languages and experience with small children. Specific certifications require vision correctable to 20/20, the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and auditorily, and the physical capability to stand for extended periods, maneuver in tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly. The Flight Attendant must also have the physical strength to open and close the main cabin door.
