Full-Time Flight Attendant
Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Flight Attendant to join their team, based at KOAK. The successful candidate will be a highly adaptable team member, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional service to passengers at all times. A strong culinary background and a passion for food are essential, with advanced culinary training highly desirable. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of aircraft passengers throughout their journey by delivering superior personal service. Responsibilities include welcoming passengers, providing safety briefings, and managing food and beverage service.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of service to all clients, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout all flights.
- Direct and assist passengers in emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, to passengers in need. Secure the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing. Provide reassurance to passengers during turbulence or other challenging situations.
- Conduct thorough preflight briefings.
- Ensure an adequate supply of food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other necessary provisions for each flight and passenger count.
- Procure items specifically requested by passengers for their flight.
- Inspect, clean, and replenish the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment, ensuring the aircraft is consistently prepared for departure, clean, and well-stocked.
- Perform regular cabin checks to maintain passenger comfort and overall cleanliness. Complete all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate onboard audio and video systems.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations. Current First Aid Training Certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar recognized training provider is preferred; annual recurrent training is mandatory. Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial flight attendant training before being assigned to a flight. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the last 12 months.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology is required.
- Demonstrated flexibility and patience are essential.
- Proven culinary skills and culinary-specific training are required.
- Ability to effectively manage a constantly evolving schedule, including late-night flights.
- Availability to fly on short notice, with a required response time of 2-3 hours when on standby.
- Unrestricted ability to travel internationally, with consideration for health and visa requirements.
- Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Competence in the operation of all Cabin Management System features.
- Skilled in operating all galley equipment.
- Proficiency in operating all cabin features, including berthing seats and converting the divan into a bed.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred.
- Prior experience with small children is desirable.
Specific Qualifications/Certifications:
- Vision: Must have vision correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, complete post-flight paperwork, and utilize computer, smartphone, and/or iPad devices.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must have the ability to speak clearly. Must possess adequate hearing to effectively communicate via phone and in person with clients, colleagues, and pilots, including during flight operations.
- Standing/Walking: Must be physically capable and strong enough to walk and stand without assistance. Must have the ability to stand for up to 14 hours with limited opportunities to sit. Must be able to work long hours in varied environmental conditions.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must be able to kneel in the luggage compartment to manage trip supplies and luggage. Must be able to maneuver within the aircraft’s confined spaces.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must be able to push open/pull closed the main cabin door, which may weigh up to 130 pounds. Must have the ability to write, type, use computer and phone systems, and prepare/cook and serve food and beverages. Must be able to lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds, from floor level to waist height repeatedly.
Additional Information:
Solairus Aviation utilizes various industry sources to determine market-based salary ranges. Compensation for Solairus crew members is between $50,000 and $500,000, depending on geographical location, experience, the specific aircraft type and equipment, job responsibilities, training, and the assigned account.
