Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 650 aircraft based at Opa-Locka, Florida (KOPF). This position is part of a multi-pilot operation, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations. The PIC is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience.
This role supports a family with a long history of aircraft ownership. The aircraft primarily operates on domestic routes with occasional international travel. While there is no fixed schedule, a three-pilot rotation allows for a comfortable work-life balance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong commitment to safety, is service-oriented, a team player, and demonstrates a high attention to detail. Candidates must be local to KIAD or willing to relocate to the area.
The successful candidate will possess 8-10 years of relevant experience, including prior experience in corporate/business aviation. A FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (G550, G650) is required. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Minimum total flight time is 3,500 hours, with 1,500 hours Multi Engine Land, 2,000 hours Pilot in Command, 500 hours PIC Multi Engine Land, 300 hours Instrument, and 500 hours Jet.
