Gulfstream G650 Flight Attendant - Teterboro, NJ
Solairus Aviation seeks a dedicated and highly skilled full-time Flight Attendant to join their team at Teterboro, New Jersey (KTEB). This position requires a flexible individual with a strong team-oriented approach and a commitment to providing exceptional, around-the-clock service to passengers. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for food, along with proven culinary experience; advanced culinary training is strongly preferred.
This role's primary focus is ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during flight. Responsibilities include greeting passengers, providing safety equipment instructions, and serving food and beverages.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide exceptional, high-level service to clients, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout all flights.
- Direct and assist passengers effectively during emergency situations.
- Administer basic first aid, CPR, and AED as necessary to passengers in distress.
- Secure the cabin in accordance with federal regulations before each takeoff and landing.
- Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling occurrences.
- Conduct thorough preflight briefings for all passengers.
- Ensure adequate onboard supplies of food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and other essentials are available for each flight.
- Procure special items requested by passengers for their flights.
- Inspect, clean, and restock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each flight segment.
- Conduct regular cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and cleanliness.
- Complete all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
- Operate audio and video systems.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Possess current First Aid Training Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
- Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar is preferred, with annual recurrent training required. Candidates without formal training may be considered but must complete initial flight attendant training before any flight assignment. Preference is given to candidates with training completed within the past 12 months.
- Technologically proficient.
- Demonstrated flexibility and patience.
- Proven culinary skills, with culinary-specific training required.
- Ability to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights.
- Must be available to fly on short notice, with a 2-3 hour response time while on standby.
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (consider health and visa requirements).
- Capable of deploying for up to 16 consecutive days.
- Proficient in the operation of all Cabin Management System features.
- Proficient in the operation of all galley equipment.
- Proficient in the operation of all cabin features, including berthing seats and divan-to-bed configuration.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- College degree preferred.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred.
- Experience with small children is preferred.
Specific Qualifications/Certifications:
- Vision corrected to 20/20 or better with corrective lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and use electronic devices.
- Clear speaking ability and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively in person and over the phone, including during flight.
- Capable of standing and walking unassisted, with the ability to stand for up to 14 hours with limited sitting opportunities. Must be able to work in varied climate conditions.
- Able to kneel and maneuver in tight spaces, including the luggage compartment.
- Adequate strength to open/close the main cabin door (up to 130 lbs), write, type, use a computer/phone, and prepare/serve food and beverages. Must be able to repeatedly lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 lbs from floor level to waist height.
