G650ER Captain
Jet Aviation is seeking a qualified and experienced Captain for its G650ER aircraft, based in either Stuart, FL or Rifle, CO. The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, adhering to the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. He or she will exercise Pilot in Command authority on all assigned flights and serves as the final authority for the safe operation of the aircraft. The Captain reports to the Lead Captain and operates in accordance with company operating policies and procedures. This is an onsite position requiring a flexible work arrangement and the ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and make decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Institute necessary changes based on en route conditions to maintain safe flight operations under company guidelines.
- Conduct flights safely and prudently, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all required trip paperwork.
- Ensure comprehensive communication with the Second in Command regarding all aspects of the flight.
- Record aircraft discrepancies and report them to the Director of Maintenance, adhering to the approved MEL.
- Verify that the flight crew is properly attired and physically and mentally fit for duty.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all aircraft systems, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage when necessary or as instructed.
- Obtain current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMS.
- File flight plans with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under applicable security programs.
- Conduct passenger safety briefings or delegate the duty to the Second in Command.
- Provide knowledge and skills to the Second in Command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties.
- Complete and submit leg manifests and End of Day (EOD) reports to operations control.
- Actively support the open sharing of information on safety issues and report all safety hazards and concerns.
- Immediately report any hazardous actions, conduct, or events to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate duties, while retaining ultimate responsibility for their execution.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- 1500 hours Turbine time.
- 100 hours Night flight time.
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
