G650ER Captain
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to pilot its G650ER aircraft. This position is based in either Stuart, FL, or Rifle, CO, and requires an individual dedicated to safety, security, and quality in all aspects of flight operations. The Captain reports to the Lead Captain and exercises pilot-in-command authority on all assigned flights, holding ultimate responsibility for their safe execution.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate the aircraft, determining optimal departure times and routes, and making informed decisions regarding flight cancellations based on weather or other conditions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the flight.
- Implement necessary changes dictated by en route conditions, adhering to company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Conduct flights in a safe, prudent manner, aligning with industry and company standards.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to established procedures.
- Ensure a thorough and complete understanding of all flight aspects with the second in command.
- Record aircraft discrepancies in the aircraft discrepancy log and promptly report them to the Director of Maintenance or designee. Determine if the inoperative item can be deferred or needs to be repaired while following the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and instructions from the Director of Maintenance or designee.
- Verify that the flight crew reports for duty in proper attire and are mentally and physically fit for duty.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aircraft systems authorized for operation, including emergency systems and procedures.
- Secure the aircraft after each flight, arranging hangar storage when deemed necessary or instructed by company management.
- Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts, and NOTAMs from an FAA flight service station or authorized agency.
- File or ensure the filing of a flight plan with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility.
- Analyze area, enroute, and terminal charts for the intended landing airport and alternates.
- Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the applicable security program provisions.
- Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign this duty to the second in command.
- Impart knowledge and skills to the second in command to prepare them for Pilot in Command duties in emergencies or future upgrades.
- Complete and send the leg manifest to operations control before each departure.
- Complete and send the End of Day (EOD) report to operations control upon completion of each flight day.
- Actively participate in the open sharing of information on all safety issues, reporting any safety hazards and concerns immediately to the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety.
- Delegate duties as needed, while retaining ultimate responsibility for their execution.
- Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Valid and current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 4000 hours Total Fixed Wing flight time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land flight time.
- Minimum of 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command flight time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours Turbojet flight time.
- Minimum of 1500 hours Turbine flight time.
- Minimum of 100 hours Night flight time.
- Minimum of 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument flight time.
- Minimum of 5 years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel worldwide extensively, without restrictions.
- Valid driver's license.
