Flight Attendant - Private Aviation
Solairus Aviation seeks a highly motivated and experienced Flight Attendant to join our team based in South Florida. This is a full-time position requiring a flexible individual willing to embrace additional responsibilities to consistently deliver exceptional service to our discerning clientele. A passion for culinary arts and advanced training in the field are highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide unparalleled personal service to passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the duration of each flight.
- Implement comprehensive safety procedures, including pre-flight briefings, emergency response, and first aid administration (CPR, AED, and basic first aid).
- Maintain a calm and reassuring presence for passengers during turbulence or other potentially unsettling situations.
- Perform thorough pre-flight cabin checks to ensure adequate supplies (food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment) are available for all passengers.
- Fulfill passenger requests by sourcing specific items needed for their flight.
- Maintain the highest standards of cabin cleanliness and hygiene, including inspecting, cleaning, and restocking the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck between legs.
- Effectively manage audio and video systems within the cabin.
Essential Qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant (5+ years).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Possession of current First Aid Training Certification.
- Proven culinary skills, preferably with specialized culinary training.
- Successful completion of Flight Attendant training programs (FlightSafety, FACTs, or comparable) is preferred.
- Applicants without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on experience and other qualifications, but must successfully complete initial flight attendant training before flight assignment.
- Preference is given to candidates with recent completion (within the past 12 months) of FlightSafety, FACTs, or equivalent training programs.
- Unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service and the ability to build strong rapport with passengers.
- Strong attention to detail and a highly organized approach to work.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a demanding and flexible schedule, including late-night flights and short-notice deployment (2-3 hour response time when on standby).
- Unrestricted ability to travel globally (consider health and visa requirements).
- Capacity for extended travel deployments of up to 16 consecutive days.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth understanding and operational proficiency of all cabin management systems.
- Expert knowledge and practical experience operating all galley equipment.
- Skilled in utilizing all cabin features, including berthing seats and transforming the divan into a bed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages.
- Experience interacting with and providing excellent care for young children.
Physical Requirements
- Excellent vision, correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20.
- Clear and concise speech communication, and the ability to hear effectively during phone conversations and in-person interactions with clients, colleagues, and pilots.
- Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods (up to 14 hours) with limited ability to sit.
- Ability to navigate and work in various climatic conditions for extended durations.
- Adequate physical dexterity to kneel in the luggage compartment, maneuver in tight aircraft spaces, and independently open/close the main cabin door (weighing up to 130 pounds).
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting of supplies weighing approximately 25-30 pounds from floor level to waist height.
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, location, equipment type, job duties, training, and assigned account. The salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $500,000.
