Position Summary
Solairus Aviation is actively seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Full-Time Gulfstream G550 and G600 Captain. This integral role is based at San Jose International Airport (KSJC) in San Jose, CA. Key Responsibilities
The Gulfstream G550 / G600 Captain holds primary responsibility for the safe and prudent operation of the assigned aircraft. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 and G600 aircraft in strict adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Solairus Aviation's comprehensive operational policies and procedures.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in full accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Performing complete flight planning activities, including a meticulous review of the aircraft's maintenance status, analysis of meteorological conditions, and assessment of facilities along the planned route and at designated alternate airports.
- Maintaining the highest standards of safety for all passengers, crew, and the aircraft throughout all phases of flight.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation in compliance with established company procedures.
Required Qualifications
Flight Hour Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Turbo Jet Time: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 250 hours
Specific Certifications & Requirements:
- Possession of a current Type Rating on Gulfstream G550 or G600 aircraft, or demonstrable experience on a comparable complex jet.
- Holds a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Ability to operate on an on-call basis, accommodating dynamic and flexible flight schedules.
- Commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
- Primary residence within a two-hour drive of San Jose International Airport (KSJC) or willingness to relocate to the area.

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation packages for its valued crew members. Annual salaries typically range from $50,000 to $500,000. Actual compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including market conditions, geographic area, individual experience level, specific aircraft type, job duties, required training, and the assigned account specifics.
