Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Pilot-in-Command, exercising complete authority and responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft.
  • Lead and manage all crew members, ensuring strict adherence to standard operating procedures, all applicable aviation regulations, and company policies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency throughout all flight phases, including meticulous pre-flight planning, precise in-flight execution, and thorough post-flight procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of all relevant aviation regulations, procedures, and best practices to ensure continuous compliance and foster professional development.
  • Demonstrate exceptional adaptability to dynamic operational environments, proficiently managing challenges such as adverse weather conditions, evolving air traffic control instructions, and the complexities inherent in international flight operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid pilot license and all necessary certifications for the appropriate aircraft types.
  • Extensive expertise and demonstrated experience in operating specific, advanced aircraft, with mandatory Type Ratings for either the G650 or G550 aircraft.
  • Substantial international flight experience, showcasing a proven ability to navigate and operate effectively within complex global airspace and diverse regulatory environments.
  • Comprehensive aviation knowledge, coupled with a proactive commitment to staying current with all evolving regulations, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective crew resource management, clear directives, and seamless coordination with air traffic control and ground support personnel.
  • Exceptional adaptability to rapidly changing situations, ensuring safe and efficient operations under varied and challenging conditions.
  • Ability to work a non-standard 40-hour work week, as assigned by leadership.
  • This position is designated for an Experienced Professional.
  • No security clearance is required for this role.

Desired Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an aviation-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an aviation capacity, such as a Captain or Check Airman role.

Work Environment & Benefits

This full-time position operates on a First Shift schedule and offers the flexibility of part-time remote telework, allowing a portion of the work schedule to be completed remotely, with the remainder at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The precise weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide additional flexibility to its employees.

Lockheed Martin provides a competitive annual base salary range (e.g., $128,400 - $226,435 in specified U.S. regions; actual salary will reflect the candidate’s final work location, experience, education, and other relevant factors).
