Role Summary
The Senior Captain will assume full authority and ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft and the professional conduct of all crew members under their command. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command, holding full authority for all aspects of aircraft operation and crew management.
- Ensure the utmost safety and efficiency in all flight missions, adhering strictly to company policies, national, and international aviation regulations.
- Lead, direct, and mentor flight crew members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Maintain all necessary pilot licenses and certifications for the designated aircraft types, ensuring continuous compliance and operational readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid pilot license and current certification on appropriate aircraft.
- Extensive expertise and proven experience in operating specific, advanced aircraft types, with a mandatory type rating for either the G650 or G550.
- Substantial international flight experience, demonstrating the capability to expertly navigate complex global flight environments.
- Profound aviation knowledge, including a commitment to staying rigorously current with all industry regulations, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective crew coordination, passenger interaction, and engagement with air traffic control.
- A high degree of adaptability and resilience, enabling effective response to rapidly changing situations, such as dynamic weather conditions or evolving air traffic control instructions.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an aviation-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an aviation capacity, such as a previous role as a Captain or Check Airman.

- Work Schedule: This role involves a non-standard 40-hour work week, as assigned by leadership, to accommodate operational requirements. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility to its employees.
- Remote Work: This position is eligible for Part-time Remote Telework, offering a hybrid work schedule that balances remote work with on-site presence at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Specific arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process.
- Compensation: Lockheed Martin offers a competitive annual base salary range. For example, in specific referenced states, the range is $128,400 - $226,435. Final compensation is determined by factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, key skills, and market considerations.
