Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and professional Gulfstream G550 Captain to join our operations team based at IAH. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in performance, a commitment to safety, and an ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Candidates are expected to uphold the Solairus culture of service, integrity, and operational safety.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Gulfstream G550 Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft. Core duties include:

• Ensuring the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 aircraft and the safety of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft itself.
• Reviewing aircraft maintenance status.
• Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Performing comprehensive checks of weather, route facilities, and destination/alternate airports.
• Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Maintaining accurate completion of all required trip paperwork.

Candidate Requirements

• Total Flight Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
• MEL PIC Time: 500 hours
• Turbo Jet Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

• Possession of a type rating for the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Requirement to complete ICAO International procedures training on an annual basis.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of IAH, or a willingness to relocate.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation based on market conditions, geographic area, individual experience, equipment type, job duties, and assigned account. Compensation for crewmembers ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 per annum.
