About the Role

As a Gulfstream G800 Captain, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Gulfstream G800 aircraft, upholding the highest standards of aviation safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal G800 Captain will be a standout colleague, meticulously striving for excellence in every aspect of performance, and will contribute to a hardworking team dedicated to meeting the travel needs of clients expertly and safely.

Essential responsibilities for this Gulfstream G800 Captain position include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely operating the Gulfstream G800 aircraft in accordance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections as per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Reviewing aircraft maintenance status prior to all flights.
  • Performing comprehensive checks of weather and facilities for planned routes, including primary and alternate airports.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, aircraft, and crew throughout all phases of flight.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork and documentation.
  • Adhering strictly to Solairus Aviation policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Prospective Gulfstream G800 Captains must possess the following flight experience and certifications:

  • Total flight time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot In Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land Pilot In Command (MEL PIC) time: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument time: 250 hours
  • Current First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Gulfstream G800 type rating or type rating on a comparable aircraft.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis.
  • Commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
  • Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KPDX (Portland International Airport) or willingness to relocate.
