Position Summary
Based at KDAL (Dallas Love Field), the Global Express XRS Captain is entrusted with the paramount responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Global Express XRS aircraft, while ensuring an exceptional experience for all passengers and crew. This pivotal role requires a standout colleague capable of performing under diverse operational conditions, adhering strictly to company policies, and complying with all relevant aviation regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Global Express XRS Captain's primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assuming full command and responsibility for the safe and prudent operation of the Global Express XRS aircraft during all phases of flight.
- Conducting comprehensive pre-flight preparations, including meticulous review of aircraft maintenance status, performance calculations, and thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Performing detailed flight planning, encompassing a complete evaluation of weather conditions, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs), facilities along the planned route, and suitability of primary and alternate airports.
- Ensuring all flight operations strictly adhere to Solairus Aviation's policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and international civil aviation regulations.
- Prioritizing and ensuring the absolute safety and comfort of all passengers, aircraft, and fellow crew members.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork, logs, and reports in accordance with established company procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates must meet the following flight hour requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Turbojet Time: 500 hours
- Instrument Time: 250 hours
Specific Requirements and Certifications
- Possession of a current Type Rating on the Bombardier BBD700 (Global Express) or a comparable aircraft is essential.
- A valid FAA First-Class Medical Certificate is required.
- Ability to operate effectively on an on-call basis, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to operational demands.
- Commitment to completing annual ICAO International Procedures training.
- Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KDAL (Dallas Love Field) or a willingness to relocate is mandatory.
Compensation
Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation packages. Salary ranges for crewmembers are determined by market conditions and vary based on geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, specific job duties, training, and the assigned account. The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $500,000.
