Corporate Aircraft Captain (Pilot)

Honeywell is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Aircraft Captain to oversee the safe and highly efficient operation of corporate flight assets based in Charlotte, NC. This critical leadership role requires absolute command and authority during all flight phases, ensuring paramount safety for all passengers and crew. The Captain is responsible for crucial decision-making, sophisticated aircraft system monitoring, and strict adherence to all federal aviation regulations and stringent company safety standards.
The successful Captain will report directly to the Chief Pilot and will significantly impact the comfort and safety of all onboard, guaranteeing that every journey is executed with optimal safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The Corporate Aircraft Captain is entrusted with the following principal functions:
- Commanding and operating the corporate aircraft in a safe, proficient, and highly efficient manner.
- Ensuring comprehensive compliance with all federal aviation regulations (FARs) and internal company flight operational policies.
- Meticulously planning and executing all aspects of flight operations, encompassing detailed pre-flight checks, complex route planning, and precise fuel management.
- Continuously monitoring dynamic weather conditions and implementing necessary adjustments to flight plans and operational strategies.
- Maintaining clear, effective communication channels with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and relevant ground operational personnel.
Essential Qualifications (Must Have)
Prospective candidates must possess the following mandatory qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A minimum of 2,000 total hours of professional flight experience.
- A minimum of 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours in powered aircraft.
- A current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking and understanding the English Language, meeting the standard required by ICAO Annex 1.
- Strong foundational knowledge of aviation regulations, safety procedures, and risk mitigation protocols.
- Proven capacity for excellent decision-making and rapid, effective problem resolution under operational pressure.
- Ability to successfully pass a company pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background investigation conducted by Honeywell Security.
