Lead Captain - Private Aviation

The Ideal Candidate:

operation of the aircraft as Lead Captain. This individual is a pilot who is

Key Responsibilities:
As Lead Captain, the individual will be entrusted with the following
responsibilities:

Ensuring the utmost safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew members.

Thoroughly reviewing aircraft maintenance status and conducting
comprehensive pre-flight inspections.

Adhering to all Silver Air policies and applicable Federal Aviation
Regulations.

Planning and executing flight operations for private jets, including
detailed flight planning, fuel management, and accurate weight and balance
calculations.

Conducting pre-flight inspections in full accordance with the approved
Aircraft Flight Manual.

Performing thorough checks of weather conditions and facilities along the
designated route and at all applicable airports, including alternate
options.

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all trip paperwork, adhering to
current procedures.
Aviation Resource Management (ARM) Responsibilities:
The Lead Captain will also serve as an Aviation Resource Manager, responsible for:
- Serving as a liaison between the Aircraft Owner and internal Silver Air departments to ensure efficient aircraft operation within the overall management plan.
- Providing leadership and mentorship to all team members assigned to the aircraft.
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the aircraft's management plan, including owner usage and charter levels, while ensuring all goals are met.
- Collaborating with the dedicated Maintenance Manager to coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
- Ensuring the aircraft is fully stocked and mission-ready for all owner and charter flights.
- Partnering with People and Culture in crewing activities, including developing crew plans, and communicating with owners, applicants, and the Chief Pilot.
- Participating in the flight crew scheduling process for charters and owner flights, and working with Flight Support to establish hard days off schedules.
- Ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of internal and external resources for the aircraft.
- Providing training and guidance to personnel on ARM best practices and procedures.
- Reviewing monthly statements with the dedicated Accounting Manager and dedicated Maintenance Manager.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

A minimum of 3500 total flight hours with 3000 hours as Pilot-in-Command
(PIC).

A minimum of 3000 hours of multi-engine flight time, with 2000 hours as PIC.
- A minimum of 1750 hours of turbine time (preferred).

A minimum of 200 hours in the airplane type, with 100 hours as PIC.
- Type rating on BD700, or comparable aircraft.
- A valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Previous Part 135 experience (preferred).
- Compliance with ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0 standards for international commercial air transport operations with multiple pilots.

The ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted
travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
Team Dynamics:
Silver Air prioritizes stable crew dynamics and does not utilize a floating
fleet model. The Lead Captain will work consistently with the same three-pilot
team, consisting of a Lead Captain, Captain, and First Officer for a specific
tail number and aircraft type, ensuring effective collaboration and
familiarization. The team will be fully supported by a dedicated Flight
Management and Support team.
