Global Express Captain
Silver Air is seeking an experienced Captain to join their team operating the Global Express aircraft. The Global Express Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing aircraft maintenance status to ensure continued airworthiness.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Completing comprehensive checks of weather conditions and airport facilities, including alternates, along the planned route.
- Ensuring flight operations comply with Silver Air policies and procedures, as well as applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Prioritizing the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew.
- Accurately completing all required trip paperwork according to current procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours minimum.
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 3000 hours minimum.
- Multi-Engine Time: 3000 hours minimum.
- Multi-Engine PIC Time: 2000 hours minimum.
- Total Turbine Time: 1750 hours preferred.
- Time in Airplane Type (Global Express BBD-700 or comparable aircraft): 200 hours minimum.
- PIC Time in Airplane Type (Global Express BBD-700 or comparable aircraft): 100 hours minimum.
- Type Rating: BBD-700 or comparable aircraft type rating is required.
- Medical Certificate: Valid First Class Medical Certificate is required.
- Previous Part 135 Experience: Preferred, but not required.
- ICAO Annex I - 2.1.1.0 Compliance: Required for aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- CANPASS Authorization: Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot is required.
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated strong customer service skills are essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for interaction with all levels of employees and clients, delivered with a high level of professionalism.
- Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of thriving in dynamic environments and adapting to frequently changing priorities.
- Time Management Skills: Excellent time management skills are necessary, including the ability to work on an on-call basis, perform effectively under pressure, and multitask efficiently. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the 24/7 nature of operations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be a collaborative team player capable of providing valuable contributions to the business and clients.
