Training and Development

The journey to becoming a qualified Cabin Crew Member begins with a comprehensive 6-week training course. This internationally recognised programme, provided free of charge, equips individuals with all the fundamental skills required for the day-to-day role, with an unwavering focus on safety procedures and exemplary customer service. The course includes structured study, regular examinations, and culminates in Supernumerary flights, leading to the prestigious award of Cabin Crew Wings.

The role operates on a fixed 5 days on / 3 days off roster pattern, providing predictability. However, it is a demanding position where safety is the paramount priority. Candidates must be prepared for varied shift patterns, including early morning duties commencing as early as 05:00 and late-night finishes potentially extending until midnight, reflecting the 24/7 nature of airline operations.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate for a Cabin Crew Member position will meet the following essential criteria and possess these key attributes:

  • Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU, with the ability to travel freely throughout the Ryanair Network.
  • Height approximately between 157 cm (5’2”) and 188 cm (6’2”).
  • Ability to swim 25 meters unaided.
  • A hardworking, flexible, outgoing, and friendly personality.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work a varied shift roster.
  • A genuine enjoyment of engaging with the public and the ability to provide excellent customer service with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A strong passion for travel and meeting new people.
