Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring the comfort of customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety throughout all assigned flights. This role is critical in upholding the organization's commitment to secure and pleasant air travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster a strong culture focused on customer satisfaction and performance excellence, driving continuous improvement in service delivery standards.
- Assume ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft and the well-being of all occupants and cargo during flight.
- Ensure comprehensive safety briefings are delivered to all passengers, covering the location of emergency exits and the proper use of safety and emergency equipment.
- Verify strict adherence to all operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the Company Operations Manual.
- Confirm that weather forecasts and reports for the planned operating area and flight duration comply with company operating minimums, ensuring the flight can be conducted safely.
- Ensure the aircraft and all required equipment are serviceable, and that relevant emergency equipment is readily available and operational.
- Monitor and confirm that the aircraft's mass and balance remain within calculated limits appropriate for the operating conditions.
- Ensure all flight and cabin crew members are securely seated in their allocated positions before take-off and landing.
- Confirm the completion of the pre-flight inspection.
- Verify that all necessary documents and Manuals are carried, remain valid throughout the flight or series of flights, and can be presented upon request to authorized personnel.
- Enforce strict adherence to smoking restrictions for both crew members and passengers. Prohibit smoking in cargo compartments or areas carrying cargo not stored in flame-resistant containers or covered by flame-resistant canvas.
- Maintain positive, appropriate, and professional relationships with all company staff and external stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possession of valid FAA/JAA/GCAA licenses.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current type rating on the Aircraft Type 737 (NG).
- A minimum of 5,000 hours Total Flying Time is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2,500 hours in multi-jet engine aircraft is mandatory.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of command time on Type or equivalent as Pilot-in-Command is mandatory.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the relevant provisions of the Company Operations Manual necessary to effectively perform the role.
- Academic background, preferably holding a Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration; a University Degree is preferred.
- Possession of a valid Instrument Rating.
- Current and valid recurrent checks.
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Accident and violation-free flying record.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- VIP flight experience is preferred.
