Experienced Airline Captain
Job Purpose:
The Experienced Airline Captain is directly responsible for ensuring the safe conduct of assigned flights while prioritizing customer comfort. This role is critical in maintaining operational excellence and the highest standards of safety and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivating a culture of customer focus and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the safe operation of the aircraft, along with the safety of all occupants and cargo during flight.
- Providing comprehensive briefings to all passengers regarding emergency exits and the location and use of safety equipment.
- Verifying compliance with operational procedures and checklists in accordance with the company's Operations Manual.
- Confirming that weather forecasts and reports for the planned operating area and flight duration permit the flight to be conducted without violating company operating minima.
- Ensuring the aircraft and all required emergency equipment are serviceable and ready for use.
- Validating that the aircraft's mass and balance remain within calculated limits for operational conditions.
- Ensuring all flight and cabin crew members are properly secured in their allocated seats before takeoff and landing.
- Confirming the completion of the pre-flight inspection.
- Ensuring all relevant documents and manuals are carried, remain valid throughout the flight or series of flights, and can be produced upon request by authorized personnel.
- Enforcing restrictions on smoking for both crew members and passengers, specifically prohibiting smoking in cargo compartments or areas containing unstored or uncovered cargo.
- Maintaining professional and positive relationships with all company staff and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid FAA, JAA, or GCAA licenses.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a current type rating on Boeing 737 (NG) aircraft.
- A minimum of 5,000 hours of total flying time (Mandatory).
- A minimum of 2,500 hours in multi-jet engine aircraft (Mandatory).
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of command time on Type or equivalent as Pilot in Command (PIC) (Mandatory).
- Familiarity with relevant provisions of the Company Operations Manual necessary to fulfill the role.
- Preferably holds a Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration; a University Degree is preferred.
- Valid Instrument Rating.
- Valid Recurrent Checks.
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Accident and violation-free flying record.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE and International air legislation, agreed aviation practices, and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- VIP flight experience (Preferred).
