Flight Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

The Flight Attendant will:

  • Perform all regulatory and assigned cabin duties, maintaining a constant focus on passenger well-being and providing a safe, comfortable onboard experience.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all emergency procedures, including the operation of all emergency equipment and exits, using necessary force up to 70 pounds.
  • Serve food and beverages to passengers, involving the maneuvering of carts weighing over 250 pounds.
  • Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage, up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly cabin environment.
  • Contribute to on-time operations by collaborating with crew members to meet all report, departure, and turnaround times.
  • Perform inflight sales and promotional duties as required.
  • Assist other customer service personnel with passenger handling and related tasks.
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance in accordance with company policies.
  • Present a professional image in conduct and appearance, adhering to the company uniform dress code.
  • Comply with all associate Rules of Conduct as outlined in applicable manuals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Inflight guides and manuals.
  • Promote the company’s core values and culture within the work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience.
  • Must be at least 20 years of age by the first interview date.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages and handle peanuts, shellfish/seafood, beef, and pork.
  • Must be comfortable working with animals and around various allergens.
  • Adhere to the company’s Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding tattoos and piercings.
  • Must have a wingspan of at least 55 inches.
  • Must be able to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, including the ability to issue shouted commands during emergencies.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, effectively handling stress, and adapting to unexpected changes.
  • Must remain calm and react quickly during various emergency situations.
  • Must be capable of making quick decisions and controlling personal responses under stress.
  • Physical ability to operate emergency equipment (up to 70 pounds), lift objects above shoulders (up to 35 pounds), push and pull carts over 250 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel. Must have corrected vision of 20/20 at 20 feet, and be able to hear communications in person and over aircraft communication systems. Must be able to move freely in a confined environment, and be able to work extended duty periods on sequential days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional years of customer service experience, ideally in aviation.
  • Previous Flight Attendant experience.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate must be willing to work in a culturally diverse environment, interact with passengers and crew under pressure, and accommodate customers with special needs or disabilities. They must also be willing to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires up to 100% travel, including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight stays. Relocation may be necessary based on company operational requirements.
