Flight Attendant
Aviation professionals are invited to apply for the position of Flight Attendant. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers while adhering to FAA and Inflight guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all regulatory and assigned cabin duties with a focus on guest satisfaction, consistently providing a secure and pleasant onboard experience.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all emergency protocols and the proper use of emergency equipment onboard; operate all emergency exits and aircraft equipment using necessary movements and force, up to 70 pounds.
- Serve food and beverages to passengers, which involves maneuvering carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Assist passengers with stowing carry-on baggage weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a tidy and well-organized cabin environment.
- Contribute to on-time operations by coordinating with crew members to meet all scheduled report, departure, and turn times.
- Perform inflight sales and promotional activities as assigned.
- Assist other Customer Service personnel with passenger handling or other duties as needed.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Present a professional image at all times, including adherence to the company’s uniform dress code.
- Comply with all associate rules of conduct as detailed in applicable manuals.
- Keep all Inflight guides and manuals up to date.
- Uphold the company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service.
- Must be at least 20 years of age by the date of the initial interview.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-centric attitude.
- Must be willing to serve alcoholic beverages, peanuts, meals containing shellfish/seafood, beef and pork.
- Ability to work with animals and around various allergens and products.
- Adherence to the company's Flight Attendant Style Guide regarding tattoos and piercings.
- A wingspan of approximately 55 inches or greater.
- Ability to sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without modification.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Capability to effectively present information to, and answer questions from, management, crew, passengers, and the public.
- Proficient in speaking and understanding English, including shouted commands during emergencies.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment, handle stress, meet deadlines, and manage unexpected changes.
- Capability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to remain composed and react swiftly in emergency situations.
- Capacity to make sound decisions in support of operations.
- Ability to process information rapidly and react positively during unexpected or critical situations.
- Proficient in managing personal and emotional responses under high levels of stress.
- Physical strength to operate all emergency equipment and exits using up to 70 pounds of force.
- Ability to lift objects above shoulders up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull carts exceeding 250 pounds.
- Ability to walk and stand for long durations, sometimes amidst aircraft turbulence.
- Capability to stoop, crouch, squat, climb, and kneel.
- Clear vision at 20 feet or more with corrective lenses or contacts.
- Ability to hear verbal communications in-person and over aircraft communication systems.
- Ability to move freely, effectively, and quickly in confined aircraft environments.
- Capacity to work extended duty periods on consecutive days.
- Ability and willingness to work in a diverse cultural setting and professionally interact with passengers and crew under stressful conditions.
- Ability to accommodate customer’s special needs and disabilities.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including early mornings, nights, overnights, and weekends.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, and relocate based on the company’s operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional years of customer service experience, especially within aviation.
- Previous experience as a Flight Attendant.
