First Officer - Join Our Team at Republic Airways

Republic Airways, one of North America's largest regional airlines, is seeking dedicated and highly skilled First Officers to join our team. As a First Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of Embraer 170/175 aircraft.

Responsibilities:

The First Officer collaborates closely with the Captain and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism in all aspects of flight operations. This includes:

Pre-Flight Preparation: Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, collaborating with the Captain on flight planning, utilizing weather information and reports to ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
In-Flight Operations: Safely and effectively operating the aircraft under the guidance of the Captain, adhering to FARs, Company protocols, and best practices. This includes maintaining a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, relevant regulations, and operational manuals.
Communication & Teamwork: Communicating effectively with the Captain, crew members, air traffic control, and passengers. Providing timely and relevant information regarding flight conditions and operational updates.
Professionalism & Customer Service: Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times, adhering to the Company uniform dress code, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive passenger experience.
Continuous Improvement: Actively pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, remaining current on industry regulations and advancements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must meet the minimum requirements for an ATP or RATP certificate.
ATP written preferred.
Meet the current interview and hiring minimum age and flight hours requirements set by the FAA and Republic Airways.
Prior customer service experience, preferably in an aviation environment, is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, and aviation documentation.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and travel extensively, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight stays.
