Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for providing a superior air transportation experience, ensuring safety standards remain second to none on every flight. Serving as the face of NetJets, the Pilot provides technically accurate, safe transportation while delivering a concierge-level service experience. As the final authority on the aircraft, the Pilot maintains a professional demeanor while managing duties ranging from expert aviator to in-flight service provider.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Operate the aircraft safely during taxi, take-off, and landing in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manuals, and Standard Operating Practices.
  • Greet Owners and passengers, provide trip briefings, communicate weather updates, and manage itinerary adjustments.
  • Execute in-flight service responsibilities, including the handling of catering and alcohol.
  • Manage and stow passenger baggage securely.
  • Provide professional service for flights involving pets or smoking passengers.
  • Serve as the final authority on aircraft operations and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for passengers from the initial FBO arrival through to final departure.
  • Communicate maintenance abnormalities to the Maintenance Control Center and complete all required documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma.
  • Certifications: Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and a valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • FAA Requirements: Possession of or eligibility for FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) with multi-engine rating (IAW 61.160), including:
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • 1,500 hours total flight time (or 1,250 hours with university R-ATP; 1,000 hours with military qualification or university R-ATP).
    • 200 hours cross-country flight time.
    • 250 hours fixed-wing PIC.
    • 100 hours night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs and landings).
    • 75 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight).
    • 50 hours fixed-wing, multi-engine time.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit.
  • Valid United States passport with the ability to travel internationally without restriction.
  • Valid State driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated service-oriented mindset with a neat, professional appearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of performing under pressure.
  • Ability to make quick, accurate decisions with high attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to rapid schedule changes, including varying hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Ability to pass a TSA background screening and obtain airport/customs security badges.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $86,015 - $117,706
