Lynden Air Cargo, a US Part 121 all-cargo airline, is seeking experienced and professional First Officers to join our flight operations team. Operating the iconic L382 Hercules aircraft, our crew members conduct critical cargo transport within Alaska, across the United States, and to international destinations. Position Summary

As a First Officer, you will serve as a vital member of the flight crew, assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. This role involves transporting mail and freight in diverse and challenging environments. Successful candidates will maintain a constant state of alertness, demonstrate professionalism, and support the integrity of all flight operations in accordance with the Lynden Air Cargo General Operations Manual (GOM) and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute flight assignments in compliance with Lynden Air Cargo policies, the Employee Handbook, LAC GOM, and applicable CFRs.
  • Assist the PIC in ensuring the safe conduct of flight operations, including the security of the crew, cargo, and aircraft.
  • Complete all required flight forms and reports accurately.
  • Verify that the aircraft is properly equipped for flight and maintained in a safe condition.
  • Provide assistance with aircraft loading and unloading activities as required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support fleet operations.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred). Minimum of 5,000 hours of pilot experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. International or Alaska flight experience is preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (or completion of ATP-CTP and required aeronautical experience), Multi-engine Rating, Class I Medical Certificate, Simulator Flight Evaluation, current driver license, and current US passport.
  • Skills: Proficiency in interpreting technical procedures, governmental regulations, and safety journals. Strong mathematical aptitude and professional communication skills.
  • Reasoning: Ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks within a highly regulated environment.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally without restrictions, including access to foreign military bases.

Compliance and Requirements

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-conditional drug test and background investigation. Candidates must be capable of obtaining a Secure Identification Display Access (SIDA) badge and must consent to RapBack verification. All employees are subject to random drug testing.
