Second in Command (SIC) - Gulfstream G20

Location: Austin, TX

Position Summary: Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) for Super Midsize jet aircraft to support Part 91 and 135 flight operations. Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the SIC ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. Candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a 2-hour call-out time of their designated home base.

Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 1,500 hours
  • Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 500 hours
  • Total Multi-Engine: 500 hours
  • Total Turbine: 100 hours
  • Total Instrument: 150 hours
  • ATP (Unrestricted)
  • 1st Class Medical Certificate
  • FCC Restricted Radio License
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Current passport with unrestricted ability to travel to EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including testing for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamines) and participate in random testing programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Initial or recurrent 142 training in type completed within the last 24 months.

Essential Functions

  • Manage duty, flight, and rest times in accordance with company and CFR requirements.
  • Maintain communication with the company for standby duty, trip notifications, position calls, and reporting.
  • Manage electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware, applications, navigation charts, and manuals.
  • Maintain a current 1st Class medical certificate.
  • Exercise proactive decision-making and demonstrate company core values.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to move up to 50 pounds frequently; work is performed primarily in and around aircraft and terminals.

Compensation

Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage. The starting base annual salary range for this position is $124,000 to $160,000, contingent upon geographic location, aircraft type, and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
