Chief Pilot - Aviation Flight Operations (Part 135 & 105)
A reputable aviation organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Chief Pilot to assume a critical leadership role within its flight operations. This challenging position requires an experienced professional to oversee and manage comprehensive aviation activities under both Part 135 and Part 105 regulations. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the management of the entire pilot group, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence through robust training and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides expert leadership and strategic oversight for all flight operations governed by FAA Part 135 and Part 105 regulations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact and reports directly to the Director of Operations regarding all pilot-related matters.
- Manages the pilot group comprehensively, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and fostering a professional and cohesive team environment.
- Develops, implements, and supervises all pilot training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company operational directives.
- Upholds and enhances the organization's safety culture, driving continuous improvement in operational procedures and risk management.
- Ensures meticulous record-keeping and strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with a Multi-Engine Land (MEL) rating.
- Holds a current and valid First-Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum total flight time of 4000 hours.
- At least 1000 hours of flight experience in multi-engine land aircraft.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a professional pilot team.
- Thorough understanding and practical application of FAA Part 135 and Part 105 regulations.
Preferred Experience
- Significant prior experience operating turboprop aircraft.
