SUMMARY
-
Pilots company-owned aircraft to transport company officials or customers by performing the following duties.
-
Perform as captain
or
second in command on the company aircraft (larger than 12,500 pounds).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Safely and efficiently operates Pella Corporation aircraft.
-
Understands and ensures compliance with Pella Corporation’s Flight Operations Manual.

Files flight plans and interprets weather data and NOTAMs based on flight plan.
-
Determines aircraft airworthiness through thorough preflight and postflight inspections and clearly reports discrepancies to maintenance in a timely manner.

Represents Pella Corporation at an executive level when dealing with business associates, officials, and customers.

Obtains an FAA Type Certificate on all company aircraft, and maintains appropriate currency and certification requirements, as set by governing authorities and Pella Corporation.

Completes ancillary duties, as assigned. These may include non-flying duties with other members of the department to ensure that the equipment, facilities, and crew members continuously meet or exceed Pella standards.

Responsible for flying customers (~60% of the time), internal employees (~25% of the time), and board/executive leadership (~15% of the time).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (preferred)

Six years (captain) or two years (second in command) related experience and/or training

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read and speak the English language. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
-
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS

Word and Excel.

Must be able to operate Foreflight for iPad application and any related software applications onboard aircraft.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

FAA Commercial Multiengine Land Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate

Must possess and be able to maintain at least an FAA Second Class Medical

Must possess a current US Passport
